MORNING OUTING TO THE VAN DER STEL PASS ON SATURDAY 30 OCTOBER
Posted on the 30th October 2021This event was moved to Saturday 30 October due to bad weather. We will bird along the hugely underrated van der Stel Pass outside Botriver village and will initially include the Hawston Lookout Point along the R43 towards Villiersdorp. Target species include the Booted Eagle, Brown-backed Honeybird, Olive Woodpecker and many more.
We will meet at the OK in Onrus at 07h00 from where transport will be arranged.
Those coming from the Kleinmond side can meet us at Salandra at 07h15. We will take along the two-way radios – bring your own refreshments.
