APPRECIATION FROM THE RECYCLE SWOP SHOP

Posted on the 5th December 2017

Fourteen children from the Recycle Swop Shop assisted Elaine and Helé with the coastal cleanup on 25 November – the report on this event was posted earlier. The BLO committee decided to donate R 1,000.00 towards end of year gift packs for the children at the Recycle Swop Shop. See Narina’s letter of appreciation below – these people are doing fantastic work.

Dear All,
Thank you very much for the donation of soap, facecloths and sweets.

I was able to assemble and hand out 220 gift bags, consisting of a facecloth, soap, biscuits and sweeties. This would not have been possible without your generosity and interest in this project.

The joy and excitement on all the little faces was quite touching!

In 2017, 4366 children, aged between 2 and 15 years, visited this project and collected 19,2 tonnes of recyclables (mainly glass, tin and plastic bottles)

We hope that you will be able to visit our project in the New Year.

Thank you again,
Narina Howard.
