CAUTION ADVISED WHEN BIRDING AT SIR LOWRY

Posted on the 10th April 2014

An alert to birders.   Please be vigilant when birding on Sir Lowry's Pass.  The Cape Bird Club has received disturbing news from Alistair Kilpin which we pass on to you.

I regularly go birding on Sir Lowry’s Pass and have never had trouble, but in the past month 2 friends of mine have been attacked with rocks and knives by ‘tikkoppe’ – thankfully no major damage, but very scary situations resulting in the loss of kit and sanity!
Is there a way to have CBC members share this type of info to keep updated with safety in birding areas – it is not the same as it used to be!
Thanks
Alastair Kilpin
