EUROPEAN BEE-EATERS IN THE KAROO

Posted on the 26th September 2011

Well, summer arrived in the Karoo as the European Bee-eaters have arrived today. They are 2 days later than last year.

In the mean time good numbers of Black-eared Sparrowlarks are around, especially on the Rietbron gravel road. I visited the Sclater's Lark site with clients and found another nest with an egg.
