GREAT BIRDING NEWS FROM SWELLENDAM

Good Morning Everyone,

Allow me to thank everyone for their interest in getting a birding body established in Swellendam.  Not only is this a good, healthy hobby, but also an opportunity to spend time with like-minded people and learn from each other.

I would also like to thank everybody that had taken part in our first fieldtrip, as arranged by the Steering committee. It was a success and we will let you know soon about the next venue. A few proposals are currently on the cards, so we would like your input regarding this! (Possible we will be going to Suurbraak)

21 People attended this first outing and 37 different species were noted.

The following people had volunteered their services to act as interim steering committee: Dalene Tomlinson, Aldo Pekeur, Sharon Swart, David & Amanda Shackley, Raymond E. Hose, Adam Nel and Edward Manganyi.

As we are working towards our first AGM in November, it is imperative that members register, as only registered, paid up members would be able to vote (I have attached the registration form).

Please feel free to address all concerns and requests to me and do not hesitate to share ideas – This is our club and as members we are obliged to work towards the growth of it.
