BROWN-SNAKE-EAGLE IN KAROO NATIONAL PARK

Posted on the 31st December 2012

With the end of the year coming closer, we had another new bird in Karoo Nat Park. Yesterday while out with people we found a sub-adult Brown Snake-Eagle in the Sand River section of the park. It is only the second record of this species in the Beaufort West area with the previous record in March 2009 about 50 km east of Beaufort West.

In the meantime the Garden Warblers had either left or they are very silent now. I search for them on 2 occassions without success.
