The property has two cottages available for renting. One is beach cottagy and accommodates six, the other is more upmarket and will accommodate four. The views overlook the estuary of Swartvlei and the sea. The Kingfisher Corner serves as an ideal base from which to explore the many bird-watching delights of the central Garden Route region.

Mount Ceder is found on the main route through the Cederberg Mountain range and represents a perfect weekend and holiday destination. It offers visitors a host of exciting accommodation options and a diversity of outdoor activities to choose from. Most importantly Mount Ceder is any bird-watcher's delight. The vegetation is dominated by Karoo scrub, even though agricultural lands and the rugged mountain scenery with lots of water host a great diversity of bird species – well over 100 species have been recorded. This is one of the closest regions to Cape Town where arid Karoo species may be found. Mount Ceder further serves as a perfect base from which to explore the birding delights of the Cederberg Wilderness, the Swartruggens road (with the Katbakkies picnic site) and of course the Tankwa Karoo.

Tanagra is an idyllic wine and guest farm in the McGregor Valley that adjoins and has direct access to Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve. 175 species have been listed here and include many waterfowl and species associated with Fynbos and Succulent Karoo species. Phillipskop Mountain Reserve covers over 246ha on the southerly slopes of the Klein River Mountains just to the east of Stanford in the Western Cape. The reserve protects unique mountain fynbos. Flowers abound throughout the year and visitors are encouraged to do a guided walk. The Phillipskop Mountain Reserve is in close proximity to many of the top birding destinations along the Cape Whale Coast. The well-wooded garden is a birder's delight and sections of the farm are dominated by mature mountain fynbos, where birding is superb. Visit ROCKLANDS DAM where profuse numbers of waterbirds are frequently present.
