BIRDLIFE OVERBERG MONTHLY PUBLIC TALK ON MONDAY 6 APRIL – ST HELENA AND THE FAROE ISLANDS
Happening on the 6th April 2020
(IMPORTANT NOTICE: COVID-19: It was decided to postpone all BirdLife Overberg meetings, outings and activities for the time being. We will keep members informed of any changes as and when these occur).
BirdLife Overberg’s monthly talk on Monday 6 April is by Michael Raimondo and focuses on St Helena and the Faroe Islands. Michael and Justine have visited both these destinations four times for the production of his conservation short films. Michael will show a few of these films and then talk about the sense of place of these destinations and its people. In 2018 Michael was a recipient of BirdLife Overberg’s Oystercatcher Hero award in recognition of his ongoing conservation efforts at the Hoek van de Berg Nature Reserve – now called the Whale Coast Nature Reserve. This promises to be an extraordinary presentation and should not be missed. It is a public talk and everyone is welcome to attend.
VENUE: The community hall at Mollergren Park, Main Road, Hermanus.
DATE: Monday 6 April.
TIME: 18:30 for 19:00.
COSTS: We will cater at R 110.00 per head and charge R 30.00 if you only attend the talk. Remember to bring your own drinks and glasses.
