“A FLIGHT HIGHER” BIRD APPRECIATION COURSE FOR INTERMEDIATE AND MORE EXPERIENCED BIRDERS AT ROBERTSON

Happening on the 1st February 2020

“A FLIGHT HIGHER” BIRD APPRECIATION COURSE FOR INTERMEDIATE AND MORE EXPERIENCED BIRDERS AT ROBERTSON

Many novice bird-watchers who have attended the Flight for Birders course in the past have requested that we develop a specialist course for intermediate and more experienced birders. Well, here it is – "A FLIGHT HIGHER" presented by Anton Odendal: It is aimed at enhancing one’s experience of birds by illustrating how to look at and listen to these wonderful creatures. It is not too technical and filled with anecdotes, wonderful memories and often crazy storytelling about our feathered friends. At least 50 conservation case-studies are discussed and several new short talks are included.

We are currently doing background research for the development of a bird finder web page for the Langberg region and this course is aimed at getting locals involved in the marketing of the region as a top bird-watching destination. Employees from the conservation and tourism sectors will benefit most from this course even though ordinary birders will be able to add great value to their bird-watching experiences.
