INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY ON 19 SEPTEMBER
Happening on the 19th September 2020
The International Coastal Clean-up and Recycling Week 2020 will be celebrated between 14 and 19 September. The week will culminate in the International Coastal Clean-up Day on Saturday 19 September. The BirdLife Overberg CleanMarine coastal clean-up team’s monthly clean-up will be held on this day and we will be organising a huge event for the day. This will be done in collaboration with the Oceans Conservancy, Plastics SA and and several other organisations including the Overstrand Municipality. Contact Steve at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to receive details of all the various coastal clean-ups to be undertaken along the Overstrand coastline. Please participate in these clean-ups in support of a very worthy cause.
The BirdLife Overberg coastal clean-up on the day will be along the rocky shores of the beautiful Cape Whale Coast Nature Reserve (previously called the Hoek van de Berg Nature Reserve). This is a privately owned reserve with the result that all participants need to enter with the main group.
