Happening on the 16th February 2019

Are you concerned about the impact of plastics and other marine debris on our oceans and shoreline? Do you care about the detrimental impact that this has on our coastal birds and other marine creatures? Then we would like to invite you to take part in BirdLife Overberg’s regular monthly Coastal Clean-ups along the beautiful Cape Whale Coast shoreline. You might get your hands a bit dirty, but the satisfaction of contributing towards clean oceans and plastic-free beaches certainly makes up for this. We already have several volunteers, as well as school groups assisting us on these clean-ups and we can certainly make use of more participants. One comes across plastic and litter along our coast all too often and this is an opportunity for nature lovers to give something back.

We are excited about more people joining our efforts as we clean up our shoreline and make a real difference!
Join us on BirdLife Overberg’s regular monthly Coastal clean-up on Saturday 16 February 2019 as we again work along the beautiful first section of the Hoek van de Berg Nature Reserve.

ARRANGEMENTS: We will meet at the parking area of the OK centre in Onrus at 07:30. We will be done by 11:00 at the latest.

KINDLY CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION BY THURSDAY 14 FEBRUARY AT 18:00: Contact Elaine by sms at 082 455 8402 or Helé by sms at 073 456 0393. They will also provide all further detail.
