OVERSTRAND MORNING OUTING WITH SOMERSET WEST BIRD CLUB

Happening on the 18th November 2017

Members of the Somerset West Bird Club have requested us to show them around at some of the top birding destinations along the Cape Whale Coast. This promises to be an interesting opportunity to show-case some of our top habitats and birds.

The BirdLife Overberg morning outing on Saturday 18 November will take us to the Vermont salt pan, Harderbaai & the Swartrivier road. This outing will showcase many of the special birds associated with three habitat types in our region. This is an ideal opportunity for all the new members who attended last weekend's Flight for Birders course to get some practical exposure to our common birds.
ARRANGEMENTS:
DATE: Saturday 18 November
TIME AND DEPARTURE: We meet at 07:00 at the OK in Onrus from where transport will be arranged – a petrol levy of R 50.00 will apply to those who catch a lift. We should be back by 12:00.
WHAT TO BRING: The usual plus a picnic basket.
RSVP: Anton at birding@overberg.co.za or sms at 082 550 3347
