RIDE THE RHINO CYCLE RACE
From 2010-09-29 to 2010-10-02
Dear Director's and Colleagues
The Renosterveld Trust has met with myself a number of times, as well as with Rhett, and their purpose is to create a biodiversity corridor within the renosterveld (which covers land within the CWCBR) in order to bring the black rhino back to the area. It is an ambitious plan, but even if they get the corridor conserved without the rhino's it would have strongly supported our purposes and certainly gained conservation land within the agricultural community. One of the Director's of the Renosterveld Trust is Quinton, a good colleague of ours who managers the Leopard Trust and that initiative and he is directly involved with CAPE/SANBI etc. I have agreed, subject to Board approval to endorse the event, and hereby would like your approval to the attached letter. If approved, I would like to request that we spread this letter far and wide amongst each of our individual networks to support this race - and consider entering a team ourselves perhaps....? I feel that if we can get our corporates within the Biosphere Reserve to participate, it might provide them with some positive experiential insight into the conservation world...
I await your feedback
Thank you
Kind regards
